此瓶圆口，口边微外侈，长颈自上而下渐阔，扁圆式腹，椭圆形浅圈足。通体青花为饰，瓶口及颈部绘卷草纹和缠枝莲纹各一周。以青花点青龙双睛，青龙回首曲体，须发飘扬，四肢伸张，呼之欲出。尤其是以青花点青龙双睛，愈显神采。颈部上下以弦纹分隔，饰以缠枝花卉纹。青花龙穿花卉纹，纹理清晰，整齐细腻。器腹部绘有花卉纹，枝叶繁茂，姿态灵动，花型饱满硕大，细节绘画精致 在扁壺上方落款大明宣德年制。宣德龙纹的描绘以其矫健生动而著称，如此罐上的龙纹，笔法遒劲有力，气势威猛刚劲，远为后朝所不及。宣德时期，有“诸料悉备，青花为贵”之说。此瓶的装饰过程是先在瓷坯上以尖状工具勾画龙纹轮廓及龙之双目、冠发，厚唇、牙齿、爪趾、鳞等细部，然后在龙身周围用青花料满绘，入窑高温烧成。
