Scarborough (斯卡布罗) 是英格兰西北部的海岸重镇。《Scarborough Fair》原是一首古老的苏格兰民间谜歌。描述远在中世纪，一对青年男女分开后，找人给对方捎话，如对方能完成不可能的任务，就可以重归于好，成为彼此的真爱。
1965年，美国民谣摇滚音乐组合Simon & Garfunkel对它进行了再创作。Art Garfunkel重新谱曲，将Paul Simon曾经作过的一首反战歌曲《The Side of Hill》与《Scarborough Fair》完美融合，这就是经典的民谣二重唱《Scarborough Fair/Canticle》。
