Although China's currency has a long history of coining and circulating, there has always been only a monetary system and no monetary standard system. Under the influence of western monetary system, modern China began to consider establishing a silver standard system. However, there are endless arguments over whether to use "two" or "yuan" as the monetary unit. In April of the second year of Xuantong reign (1910), the Du branch issued the "Currency Rules" and decided that the name of the national currency unit was "Yuan", with silver as the standard, one dollar as the main currency, and seven cents as the second. In addition, five cents, twenty-five cents and ten cents, five cents and two cents, one cent, five cents and one cent four kinds of copper coins are used as auxiliary coins. Since then, China's currency has entered an era in which "yuan" is the main currency. However, modern Guangdong is different from the whole country in that the minor coin "silver milli" (milli silver) "is the main coin and has been used for half a century, which is very strange.
