Beijing’s new stock exchange is ready for potential investors to file trading registrations, a step forward to the launch of the third national bourse.
The newly planned exchange issued guidelines Friday outlining criteria for qualified participants. Retail investors need to have at least 500,000 yuan ($77,458) in securities assets and investment records of more than two years to access the new marketplace.
The new exchange’s requirements for retail investors are in line with those for the Nasdaq-like STAR Market in Shanghai. No capital threshold was set for institutional investors.
Securities regulators also released disclosure regulations for the new bourse, seeking public comments. The regulations concern issuance of shares, refinancing and supervision. The CSRC said that the regulations are designed to highlight the characteristics of the Beijing Stock Exchange serving innovative small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Earlier this month, President Xi Jinping announced plans to set up a third national stock exchange in Beijing. It is expected to play a role in expanding funding channels for Chinese companies that face growing hurdles to selling shares in the U.S. amid rising tensions and regulatory uncertainty.

北京证券交易所17日发布《北京证券交易所投资者适当性管理办法(试行)》，明确了个人投资者准入的资金门槛为证券资产50万元，机构投资者准入不设置资金门槛。自规则发布之日起，投资者即可预约开通北交所交易权限。
对比下来，北交所的散户门槛要求与上交所科创板一致，而创业板则为10万。
中国证监会官网昨日发布消息，在总体平移精选层相关规定的基础上，突出北交所服务创新型中小企业的特色，就新起草的北交所发行上市、再融资、持续监管相关的11件内容与格式准则，向社会公开征求意见。
自9月2日“官宣”以来，北交所的设置、交易规则、投资者要求等细节备受关注。在目前复杂的国际形势下，赴美上市之路愈发坎坷，中企也越来越多选择“海归”，北交所将在创新型中小企业的拓宽融资渠道上将发挥重要作用。

Young people in Hong Kong and Macao are expected to benefit from eight new supportive measures unveiled on Thursday that provide them with more opportunities for education, employment and exchanges on the Chinese mainland. The measures put forward by the All-China Youth Federation include providing 15,000 internship positions, 30,000 exchange opportunities and 12,000 jobs on the mainland to the two SAR's youths over the next five years.
中华全国青年联合会16日举行中央惠港青年措施宣讲会，推出8项针对性措施，涵盖求学、就业、创业、实习等各方面，以促进港澳青年融入国家发展大局。具体来看，内地将在5年内为港澳青年提供15000个中央和国家机关、央企、中央金融单位及各行业知名企业的实习岗位、30000个赴内地学校、企业、社区、乡村的交流机会、12000个就业岗位，并支持不少于120个港澳青年创业项目。

Tencent allowed users of its WeChat social media service to link to rivals’ content for the first time in years, taking initial steps to comply with Beijing’s call to dismantle walls around platforms run by the country’s online giants. Starting Friday, users can access external services such as Taobao or TikTok. However, that only applies to one-on-one messaging, not group chats or Facebook-like Moments pages.

Amazon said its blocking of merchants due to abuse of the e-commerce platform’s review system is not aimed specifically at Chinese vendors and is applied globally. More than 50,000 Chinese sellers were blocked on Amazon from May through July, according to statistics from Shenzhen Cross-border E-commerce Association, causing estimated losses of more than 100 billion yuan.

Covid-testing unicorn Prenetics Group is going public on Nasdaq via Artisan Acquisition, a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) with a combined equity value of $1.7 billion, the biggest among Hong Kong companies. The transaction is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2022, the company said Thursday in a statement.
推出针对新型冠状病毒的一站式PCR核酸测试解决方案的公司Prenetics计划与新世界行政总裁郑志刚成立并私人持有的SPAC（特殊目的收购公司）纳斯达克合并。此次交易对Prenetics的估值为12.5亿美元，合并股权价值约为17亿美元。

China's fiscal revenue amounted to about 15 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.4 percent in the first eight months of the year, official data showed Friday.

The proportion of China’s wealth tied up in real estate is too high, while too little is invested in financial assets, according to Xiao Gang, a former head of the country’s securities regulator. He said cash and deposits account for a relatively high proportion of financial assets, while stocks, bonds, funds, and insurance assets are under-represented.
中国证监会原主席肖钢17日在2021中国资产管理年会上表示，目前我国居民财富管理需求旺盛，但居民财富结构不尽合理，房地产占比过高，金融资产占比偏低。在金融资产中，现金、存款等占比较高，股票、债券、基金、保险等资产占比较低。
