China's housing authorities on Thursday held a regulatory talk with officials in five cities and urged them to stabilize the property markets in the wake of rapid increases in local home prices. The cities of Yinchuan, Xuzhou, Jinhua, Quanzhou, and Huizhou should enhance property market regulation and monitoring and keep its development stable and sound.
住房和城乡建设部周四约谈银川、徐州、金华、泉州、惠州5个城市政府负责同志，要求加大调控和监管力度，促进房地产市场平稳健康发展。
Wuhan’s housing authority on Wednesday issued a draft regulation to strengthen the management of house-purchasing qualifications. The regulation proposed that people must first get a voucher for housing property before they could purchase it. The voucher is valid for 60 days.
7月28日，武汉市房管局发布了《市住房保障房管局关于加强购房资格管理工作的通知（征求意见稿）》，意见稿提出，购房先申请购房资格，符合条件才能领到购房的“房票”，有效期60天，一张房票一次只能登记购买一个楼盘。
China bagged 3 gold medals today in men's 200-meter individual medley, women's trampoline, and badminton mixed doubles final. By 5 p.m Friday, China ranks No.1 in the Olympic medal haul, with 18 golds, 9 silvers and 11 bronzes, followed by Japan and the U.S., with 15 and 14 golds respectively.

Chinese mainland reported 21 new local cases yesterday, 18 from Jiangsu Province, 2 from Hunan Province, and one from Beijing. As of Thursday midnight, Nanjing has reported a total of 184 local cases. On Friday, authorities in Nanjing identified the source of the recent outbreak to be from the Russian CA910 inbound flight on July 10.

China has taken a range of measures to optimize its business environment at ports and facilitate cross-border trade. The country has simplified regulatory documents in imports and exports, and reduced its customs clearance time. In June, it only took 36.68 hours for imports and 1.83 hours for exports to clear Chinese customs. China has also regulated and cleared some port charges to lower the compliance costs in imports and exports and make customs clearance more informative and intelligent. China's global ranking in cross-border trading has greatly increased from 97th in 2017 to 56th in 2019, according to World Bank.

On Thursday night, Chinese telecoms giant Huawei’s P50 series was officially released. This is Huawei’s first smartphone pre-installed with its home-built HarmonyOS. P50 employs the Snapdragon 888 4G chip, while P50 Pro is equipped with the Snapdragon 888 and Kirin 9000 chips. P50 and the Pro version sell from 4488 yuan and 5988 yuan respectively.

Huawei has signed a deal with a subsidiary of Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) to develop luxury autonomous electric vehicles, deepening its push into the car industry, according to GAC on Wednesday. Huawei has earlier removed the executive in charge of its smart driving unit after he sparked controversy by telling a conference audience that the self-driving technology used by Tesla was “killing” people.

Langfang Development announced on Thursday that all company shares held by China Evergrande Group were frozen. Also, Lanzhou in Gansu province has publicly urged 20 subsidiaries of Evergrande to pay outstanding land transfer fees, illustrating the extent of the crisis at the debt-saddled property giant. The stock of China Evergrande fell 9.15 percent to close at HK$5.26.
