Cirque du Soleil in town, Oakwood is family around

2018年4月6日，当第一位杭州新天地太阳马戏的客人入住杭州奥克伍德国际酒店公寓时，随之带来的是一连串创造历史的数字：截至2019年11月底，整个团队客房入住超过22,000间夜，单日团队在店人数最高达91人，单人入住时间最长的客人已经超过600天。随着团队成员的继续入住，记录还将被不断刷新。

Apr 6 2018, when the first Cirque du Soleil guest checked in Oakwood Residence Hangzhou, nobody would have imagined that history would be renewed over and over again. Till the end of Nov 2019, total room nights had been more than 22,000; Peak day in-house guests totaled at 91. The longest individual guest stayed more than 600 days. Since Oakwood still accommodates several Cirque du Soleil guests, the record will soon be broken.

庞大的团队背后，是另一个在杭城艺术界和投资界的奇迹。杭州新天地取址原重型机械厂工业遗存厂房，开辟出容纳近1500坐席的现代化演出空间，成为享誉全球的太阳马戏的在杭州的常驻地点。这是继拉斯维加斯、奥兰多、墨西哥城之后，太阳马戏在全球布局的第四个常驻秀场。杭州新天地太阳马戏呈现的《X 绮幻之境》在创编过程中融入了不少中国元素。观众可置身360°环视座椅，直面百米巨幕舞台，不用打飞的去拉斯维加斯，在家门口就能享受大气磅礴的视听盛宴。

The group is considered the largest since the grand opening of Oakwood Residence Hangzhou. What kind of project are they working on? It is a miracle in both art and investment realm in town. Hangzhou Suntiandy Group built a unique show world based in an old factory relic, where now has a capacity of nearly 1500 seats and is the stage designated for Cirque du Soleil.

Hangzhou is the fourth host city for Cirque du Soleil after Las Vegas, Orlando and Mexico City. The show named “X-The Land of Fantasy” incorporates a lot of Chinese elements. Facing a huge 100-meter screen stage, sitting in a 360 rotatable rumbling seat, the immersive experience is unprecedented.

成立于1984年的太阳马戏，被视为“加拿大”国宝，也是全球最大的现场演出制作公司。成立至今，太阳马戏已为近65个国家450余座城市的1.9亿名观众演出。

Established in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is the Canadian national treasure. It is the largest on-site show company with footprint in more than 65 countries and 450 cities all around the world. More than 190 million people have enjoyed the show so far.

文道明先生（Mr. Dominic Venne）是新天地太阳马戏创意制作团队的重要成员。来自加拿大的他，说着一口流利地道的中文，并且精通西班牙语和日语。从2018年入住至今，他深切感受到了杭州奥克伍德国际酒店公寓家一般的温馨感觉。他坦诚地和我们分享了初到杭州的经历：“2018年团队刚到杭州时租住在一处居民住宅，月租金相对优惠，但是没有人打扫，也没有配套服务。有一天非常冷，但是突然停水了，把我们急坏了。我对奥克伍德有所耳闻，于是找到酒店，就这样整个团队都搬了过来。”

Mr. Dominic Venne is a member of Cirque du Soleil Creation & Operation team. He comes from Canada, surprisingly, he can speak perfect Mandarin and is fluent in Spanish and Japanese. Since he moved to Oakwood Residence Hangzhou at the beginning of 2018, he feels it is just like home. “ When we first arrived, we were staying in a local apartment near our project site. It was cheaper but with no body to take care of the cleaning and with no service at all. One day it was pretty cold, the house suddenly had no water supply. That was the trigger of moving out to find somewhere else, so we found Oakwood.”

2019年的12月6日圣诞节点灯仪式晚宴上演了温馨的一幕。杭州奥克伍德国际酒店公寓隆重邀请了太阳马戏的住店成员出席，并且送上鲜花合影留念。感谢他们为这座城市带来的文化饕餮大餐以及为整个奥克伍德国际酒店公寓和EAC国际社区带来浓浓的文化气息。

On Dec 6 2019, Cirque du Soleil guests were invited to attend the Christmas lighting ceremony. General Manager Mr. Frederic Lievre thanked them with flowers for bring a stunning show to the city and artistic atmosphere to the whole Oakwood community.
