The third instalment in the Magic Mike film series has only just started shooting, but a change is happening among the cast. Thandiwe Newton, who was playing one of the lead roles, is stepping away to deal with a personal situation, and Salma Hayek is being brought in to replace her.

"Thandiwe Newton has made the difficult decision to step away from the production of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Magic Mike’s Last Dance to deal with family matters," a spokesperson for the studio told Variety on Wednesday.
